A CROW bar was swung at a man during an attack by a pair of young men who were spotted acting suspiciously.

The victim, who is aged in his 50s, challenged the men at Diglis Basin, Worcester - an area where a number of tool boxes have been stolen.

One of the offenders attacked than man, throwing several items at him before either pushing or punching him.

The second man is then thought to have swung a crow bar at the victim, who pushed the attackers away and raised the alarm.

Both offenders then climbed a fence and ran away in the direction of Mill Street.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault, which took place at around 5.20pm on Monday, December 5.

The first attacker is described as white, aged 18 to 20, 5ft 8 inches to 5ft 10 inches tall, and of muscular build.

He was wearing a light coloured, hooded top with a black band across the front of the chest and shoulder.

The second attacker is said to be white, also aged 18 to 20, and of smaller and slighter build than the first man. He was wearing a black puffa jacket.

Officers are also looking to speak to a group of four or five men who were seen in the area with a Rottweiler dog, as they are believed to have information about the incident.
