EMERGENCY nurse Jane Pugh is among borough runners getting set to pound the streets of the capital in this year's London Marathon.
The 50-year-old runner, who works in A&E at Russells Hall Hospital, is among more than 40,000 people set to take on the 26-2-mile road race this Sunday (April 22).
Jane, secretary of Action Heart Running Club, is no stranger to marathons - having already completed a whopping 19 and an ultra marathon.
She hopes by completing her 20th marathon to raise around £750 for Dudley's Action Heart cardiac rehabilitation charity based at Russells Hall.
Jane said of her chosen cause: "My heart works properly - others are not so fortunate so I am raising money for Action Heart to continue to support and rehabilitate patients post cardiac event, to build their fitness up to a level where they are confident to lead an active life."
