A MAN had been left seriously injured after a hit-and-run in Dudley.
The pedestrian was hit on the slip road leading to the Thornleigh Trading Estate on the Dudley Southern Bypass, at Farthings Lane, at around 7.15pm on Wednesday (December 13).
The 37-year-old was taken to hospital with a fractured leg, broken and fractured pelvis and shoulder and collar bone injuries.
Police are now trying to trace the driver.
Sgt Ade Brown, from the Roads Policing Unit, said: “This was a serious collision which has meant that the pedestrian will spend the entire Christmas period in hospital while he recovers.
“We now believe we’ve identified the type of vehicle involved and it’s only a matter of time before we identify the driver.
“If anyone has noticed unexplained damage to a car since Wednesday evening, or any unusual behaviour from a friend, relative or colleague, we’d urge them to get in touch.
“I’d appeal directly to the driver to come forward to us, before we come knocking on their door."
Anyone with information should call police on 101, giving log number 2003 of 13 December.
