PEOPLE will be able to get a closer look and learn more about a historic Halesowen Church this weekend.
St John the Baptist Church in High Street will feature in the first of a series of Heritage Tours on Saturday, October 21 from 4.30pm.
The church is Dudley’s oldest working building and dates back more than 900 years.
During the event, there will be guided tours of the building and the exterior, as well as a limited opportunity to see some of the lower parts of the church tower.
There will also be brief introductions on the Anglo Saxon parish and talks on the Norman foundation and the building phases. Refreshments will also be provided.
Cost is £5 on the door and for further details contact Mike Brown on 0121 602 4173 or Adrian Jones on 0121 602 2577.
