A DUDLEY man has denied attempting to kill a woman following a stabbing at Himley Hall.

Ralph Foster, aged 55, appeared at Stafford Crown Court and pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder and section 18 wounding with intent to cause GBH.

The charges relate to an incident which happened just before 8pm on Sunday, July 16, which saw a 30-year-old woman and her eight-year-old son taken to hospital.

The woman suffered multiple stab wounds and the boy had an arm injury but their injuries were not life threatening.

Foster, of Bayswater Road, also denied further charges of aggravated vehicle taking, possession of a bladed item in a public place and interfering with a motor vehicle - endangering a road user.

A trial will take place at Stafford Crown Court on January 15 next year.
