DUDLEY schoolchildren dressed up in red, white and blue when they took part in a British Values Day.
The event at Kates Hill Primary School yesterday (Tuesday), saw children spend the day studying famous British personalities, including the Royal family.
Youngsters in key stage two also hosted a tea party for the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Dave Tyler.
Cllr Tyler said: "I really enjoyed my morning with the children, they were absolutely fantastic and very welcoming."
Throughout the day, children were also encouraged to think about what being British meant to them.
Year five pupil Sukhbir Singh Chana said: "I think being British is having pride, respect and being proud of living in Britain.
"It also means to share knowledge and respect about the royal family and to drink of tea."
Fellow pupil Ellie May Cope added: "I think being British means you love your country for what it is."
Teacher Adeela Subhan, who organised the event, added: "We had a brilliant day, the children absolutely loved exploring and celebrating our fantastic British culture.
"We will definitely look at holding future events like this for our children."
