A MAN has been detained by police after fleeing the scene where a car crashed into a tree.
Emergency services were alerted to the crash, which happened on St Kenelms Road in Romsley, just after midnight (May 20).
A crew from Bromsgrove Fire Station rushed to the scene, where two women had already managed to free themselves from the wreckage.
West Midlands Ambulance Service attended to treat the women for their injuries while firefighters made the scene safe.
One man who had fled the scene was later apprehended by West Mercia Police officers and detained.
