HALESOWEN Tennis Club is holding an open day on Sunday, April 2, from midday to 4pm.

All are welcome, from beginners to experienced players and visitors will be able to play tennis with others and against a special ball machine, as well as talk to members and coaches about opportunities at the club.

Racquets and tennis balls will be provided and there will be special mini-tennis events for children.

Nigel Sadler, club chairman, said: "Our open days are always very popular. It is a great chance to come and see our thriving club and try out playing tennis here."

Geoff Barrie, head coach, added: "Open Day visitors get a reduced rate for membership and many end up playing and being coached here on a regular basis. We hope that everyone will enjoy their day on 2 April."

Halesowen Tennis Club, which already has over 200 members aged from three to 83, is next to the Athletic and Cycling Club off Manor Way, Halesowen.
