A CHARITY concert is being held at Halesowen’s Cornbow Hall this weekend in honour of 22-year-old man who is fighting stage three brain cancer.

Adam Knight has undergone chemotherapy and radiotherapy as doctors try to defeat the cancerous tumour in his brain.

His brother Michael has organised the show, called One Knight Only, for Sunday in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

He said: “My little brother Adam, who was 21, at the time was diagnosed with stage three brain cancer. last August “It was such a shock to us all, someone who is so fit, full of life and so happy to be hit with such a terrible thing.”

He added: “Through all of this I have felt so helpless not being able to physically cure him.

“So my way of helping him and people in his position is to give back. So I have Produced and Choreographed a variety show called One Knight Only.

“It’s a fun and lively show with singing, dancing, showgirls and is being performed by professional dancers from all over the UK.”

He added: “I have set up a justgiving page which at the moment stands at £435 and all proceedings of ticket sales, raffle, justgiving page and any donations on the night with out charity buckets will all go to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Despite being gravely ill Michael’s praised Adam’s attitude since being diagnosed.

He said: “Throughout Adam has been such a positive person and not let this defeat him, even though he can not drive anymore or go many places as he needs somebody with him all the time.

“He is an example that life is too short for self pity, he has taken this diagnosis and battling with it head on and winning.

“He is an awesome little brother, and my best friend and I couldn’t live without him.”
