A DUDLEY man was playing with fire when he took part in a mind-blowing hot sauce challenge.

When spicy food lover Daniel Brooks decided to put the "world's hottest chilli sauce" to the test, he let his girlfriend Kirsty Matthews film the results.

Footage shows him taking huge bites out of a chilli slathered in Hell Unleashed, a sauce made by Stroud company Hot-Headz - and almost instantly regretting it.

"It's the hottest thing I've ever tried in my life," the 21-year-old said, as he slumped bleary-eyed against his garden fence, downing a glass of milk.

As he sat down and reached for a pot of yogurt, Daniel, who lives in Wrens Nest, added: "My tongue is on fire. It's painful.

"I reckon if I stand up now, I'll pass out. I'll give you a warning, do not try this at home."

He later told the News it was "unbearable", adding that it blistered his tongue, leaving him unable to taste anything "for a while".

The video is one of three - he also tested the company's Who Dares Burns and Extreme Prejudice - and together, they have had 250,000 views in just two weeks.
