WORDSLEY Townswomen’s Guild are on the lookout for new members to join its lively community group.

Meeting at Wordsley Community Centre at 10am on the third Monday of each month, guild members take part in a number of social activities throughout the year.

Events include inviting a wide variety of speakers and demonstrators to talk to the members, monthly lunch outings, a theatre group, social events and sales tables.

Mary Skidmore, group treasurer, said: “New members are very welcome to come along and join Wordsley Townswomen’s Guild for 2017/18.

“Every member receives a quarterly ‘townswoman’ magazine and is encouraged to take part in federation events, such as craft days, lunches with entertainment, and the Christmas Carol service.”

The guild’s meeting on March 20 will be a quiz and annual general meeting, while on Tuesday, April 18 (as April 17 is Easter Monday), gardening expert and competition judge Derek Walker will demonstrate hanging baskets followed by question time.
