A SINGER from Ludlow has returned to his old school to perform.
Patrick Dunachie was back at Hereford Cathedral School for an evening of music with The King’s Singers.
He started his singing career in the choir at St Laurence Church in Ludlow.
The double Grammy Award-winning vocal ensemble was the highlight of the evening’s programme at the cathedral, topping a bill that also included the school’s own choirs and friends.
Born in September 1993, Patrick joined Hereford Cathedral School as a chorister and went on to receive a choral scholarship to read music at King’s College, Cambridge.
In 2016, Patrick achieved his childhood ambition after being appointed to sing with The King’s Singers, one of the world’s finest vocal ensembles.
“When I was about 14, I told my English teacher that my dream job would be singing first counter-tenor in The King’s Singers,” said Patrick.
“I feel really lucky that the dream has come true!"
