A COUNTY company came away with two prizes from a glittering awards ceremony in central London.

Whitestone-based allpay scooped the Best Prepaid Card Solution at the Payments Awards and also finished as runners up in the Best Merchant Acquirer or Processor category.

The Payments Awards, hosted at the Grosvenor Square Marriot, are a celebration of excellence and innovation within the payments sector.

The win follows a successful year for payments specialist allpay, who now collect more than £7bn per year from over 67 million transactions.

Since 2009, allpay has pioneered the use of prepaid cards across the private and public sectors, delivering disbursement solutions to local authorities, housing associations, charities and banks.

In addition to working with more than 80 local authorities, allpay manages in excess of 110 different programs for City of Edinburgh, Birmingham City Council and several London boroughs.

Reducing the cost and administration of paying out funds, allpay’s prepaid solution streamlines accounting efficiency and offers end users bank account lite features, including direct debits and standing orders.

A principle member of Mastercard for issuance, and accreditation from Mastercard, Visa and American Express, allpay manufactures and personalises all cards in-house at its bureau which produces close to 20 million debit, credit and prepaid cards per year.
