NEW signs set to be installed in Hereford will help showcase what is on offer in the city centre.
The new pedestrian wayfinding system – which has been funded by Hereford BID – will be made up of 25 new fingerposts and 10 map boards.
Two prototype signs will be installed in Broad Street with the aim of giving BID businesses, key stakeholders and members of the public a chance to provide feedback.
Once all the feedback has been collated and any amendments made to the graphic design, the remainder of the signs will be installed early in 2018.
John Jones, Chairman of Hereford BID, said: “This has been a long and complex project, but we are confident that the final results will be beneficial to businesses in Hereford. They will encourage shoppers and leisure users to explore the city centre and the walking times will remind users that you are never more than a few minutes on foot from the places you want to go to.
"The map on the new map boards will help to showcase the quality and range of Hereford’s offer to visitors and local people alike."
