CASH is on its way to three charities after more than 50 rafters took part in a fundraising event on the River Wye.
The Mad Dash Raft Race in Herefordshire – run by Madley-based BT staff and their family and friends who make up the MadSat Raft Team – saw teams come from around the UK to take part in the nine-mile race.
As usual, the event was split into two parts, with the less experienced raft racers battling it out in fancy dress in a shorter race before the more serious contenders took to the water.
Herefordshire Heartstart, Guide Dogs Association and St Michael’s Hospice are the charities which will share the proceeds from the day.
