A MAN has been arrested following a hit-and-run incident which left an 11-year-old in a serious condition in hospital.
The incident happened at 4pm yesterday on Ffrydd Road, Knighton, when a dark coloured Toyota Rav 4 hit the pedestrian and failed to stop at the scene.
A 57-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road traffic collision and currently remains in police custody. The vehicle has been seized.
The girl who was airlifted to hospital remains in a serious but stable condition.
Anybody who witnessed the collision or has any information about the vehicle or driver involved is urged to contact police on 101, reference number: 220.
