AN evening of food and dance has been organised in Ross-on-Wye to raise money for a children's hospice.
The Acorns Ross-on-Wye Support Group has organised a ball for September 23 at The Chase Hotel in Ross to raise money for Acorns Children's Hospice in Worcester.
It is the third ball they have organised and last year's event raised more than £15,000.
One of the organisers, Helen Powles, said: "We are looking forward to holding The Acorns ball in Ross again this year.
"Everyone was so generous last year, we hope to do the children's hospice proud again this year.
"We have got a great night planned, with a meal, fantastic band, raffle and auction, so I hope that friends and families will book spaces for this brilliant event."
There will be live music from the Holly Collins Band, a three course dinner, and a silent raffle and live auction.
The dress code is black tie. The evening starts at 6pm and finishes at 1am.
