A READING challenge set to pupils at a Hereford school has been an overwhelming success with a staggering 2,146 books read between a year group over 10 months.
Aylestone Business & Enterprise College set their Year 7 pupils an independent reading challenge which has resulted in pupils reading 49 million words between them.
A number of pupils have exceeded personal goals with some reading in excess of three million words over the 10 months. All have been awarded a book token in recognition of their achievements.
