A SPORTS club run by volunteers has been targeted by vandals once again.

Ross-on-Wye Sports Club in Wilton Road in the market town was targeted last night.

Paul Flitney, director at the centre, discovered the damage this morning.

He said: "We came down here to play football with the kids. There is a bin on the roof, a fence post has been ripped down, our dug out has been destroyed.

"We had cricket matches and a football fun day at the weekend with 600 people taking part. It was a great day, then something like this happens."

This is not the first time the club has been targeted and Mr Flitney believes the vandals drive to the site.

Mr Flitney said: "We are going to have to put a barrier up now. We tried to keep it open to let people use the facilities."

The incident has been reported to the police. If you have any details call 101.
