A VISUALLY impaired lecturer from a Hereford college will put his best foot forward this Sunday as he takes on the London Marathon.

Graham Wilde, a media lecturer at the Royal National College for the Blind (RNC), has never allowed his vision impairment to hold him back - and does not plan to let it do so during the marathon.

He is aiming to complete the race in less than four hours as his wife and daughter, who is also visually impaired, cheer him on.

He is raising money for LOOK-UK, a charity based at the RNC's campus on Venns Lane, Hereford.

The focus of the small charity is to help young visually impaired people and their families achieve the best outcomes in life.

Its Youth Forum, held every Thursday afternoon at the RNC, brings together other visually impaired young people to chat, play games and make podcasts.

If you have a visually impaired child or young person in your family and would like to find out more about the charity, contact LOOK by emailing Info@look-Uk.org or calling 01432 376314.
