A COUNTY cider company has given financial backing to a group of pupils going to Canada for a rugby and netball tour.
Netball and rugby players from John Kyrle High School in Ross-on-Wye are going on a nine-day tour to Toronto and its surrounding areas to take part in sporting fixtures.
It is the fourth year the school has travelled to Canada for the sporting event and this year Westons Cider in Much Marcle is offering sponsorship which will help provide sports equipment.
Helen Thomas from Westons Cider visited John Kyrle to present the cheque to party leader Claire Godwin.
Headteacher, Nigel Griffiths, thanked the company for its generosity.
