A BED and Breakfast spot on the Herefordshire borders has been named the ‘One of a Kind’ award-winner in independent travel specialists Sawday’s’ 20th anniversary awards.
The New Inn beat out stiff competition from across the country and owner Daphne Tucker picked up the award in Bristol last week.
Toby Sawday, managing director of the travel site which specialises in independent and quirky locations, said Ms Tucker’s own creativity and ideas shone through at the Brilley site.
He said: “Daphne has an open attitude to life, new challenges and ideas that makes her truly special.
“The result is a madcap collection of treasures and trinkets that is completely her and completely joyful.”
The awards were selected by a panel of judges, including Mr Sawday, Daily Telegraph travel editor Ben Ross and Country Homes and Interiors magazine's Columba Colivet.
