LION-hunting Maasai warriors from Kenya are coming to Lyde Court next month to give a demonstration, not of their hunting, but of traditional song and movement.

The Osiligi Maasai Warrior Troupe has been performing around the world for ten years, to raise money for their community near Nairobi.

Their concerts, featuring the iconic Maasai jumping, have funded projects to bring clean water and solar lighting to their homeland, as well raising money to build a community centre and primary school, where the charity also sponsors 65 children.

The troupe will be performing at on Friday October 3, in conjunction with Art Alive.

Doors open at 6.30pm, with tickets costing £8 for adults and £5 for under-18s.

Crafts and wares will be on sale before and after the performance, and you can book a ticket by calling 0432 357753.
