FIREFIGHTERS spent around two hours tackling a blaze on the site of a county crisp factory on Monday afternoon.
Two crews, from Kingsland and Leominster, used two breathing apparatus, two hose reels and foam to put out the flames in a potato compactor at Tyrrells in Stretford Bridge.
The machine was emptied and around five to eight tonnes of waste extinguished.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was at the scene for around two hours from 4.30pm.
