CURRENT weather forecasts show that the bitterly cold spell is set to continue until the end of this week, with a strong likelihood of snow in the Cotswolds on Thursday or Friday.
So far waste and recycling collections have not been disrupted but the council's waste collector, Ubico Ltd, is keeping an eye on weather conditions and may have to postpone operations if the situation deteriorates.
Meanwhile, it is possible that crews might not be able to empty some green garden waste bins if the contents are frozen.
As usual, if there are disruptions to collections residents should leave their waste and recycling at the kerbside and Ubico crews will try to pick them up as soon as practicable.
