THE lineup for a week of entertainment from well-known faces in literature has been announced.
This year's Chipping Campden Literature Festival features actor Timothy Watson, who plays Rob Titchener in BBC Radio 4’s The Archers.
Mr Watson will read extracts of letters and verse in an evening with Oscar Wilde and lines from Hamlet to illustrate a light-hearted discussion.
Vicky Bennett, artistic director of the 2017 Chipping Campden Literature Festival, said: "For the eighth independent six day festival our aim has been to put together a unique programme of author events on the themes of crime, justice and forgiveness."
Other highlights include guitarist, producer and composer Dave Randall, who has contributed to albums by Grammy Award winning artist Dido, giving a whistle stop tour through the history of music.
There’s a whole day’s writing workshop with 2016 Sunday Times top ten best-selling author Jane Corry whilst human rights lawyer Philippe Sands discusses his part historical detective story, part family history, and part legal thriller East West Street.
Greek Archaeologist George Manginis is flying from Athens to present the story of the ancient Chinese pottery that was excavated in 1911 and now resides in the Benaki Museum.
Well-known BBC presenter Sue Cook interviews Jasvinder Sanghera on the subject of forced marriage, and also chairs the Big Book Group with crime author, Mark Billingham.
The six day festival runs from Tuesday May 9 until Sunday May 14 and takes place across various venues in Chipping Campden, with most talks costing £7.
