CHILDREN and adults alike are invited to Kinver Community Library this weekend to hear author Krista Joy reading from her new fantasy novel.

The author of ‘The Portal Maker’, an eagerly awaited sequel to her original tale of fantastical characters ‘Dragons and Dreamsellers’ will be visiting the library between 11am and 12.30pm on Saturday (March 24).

Her latest novel continues to follow Letisha Tate on another time-bending journey to the Otherworld, accompanied by her best friends Toby the Watchmaker’s Apprentice and Sheridan the Dragon.

Krista said: “Sheridan is given the task of babysitting his boffin cousin, who is playing around with the science of time. The trouble is, time might not want to play along.

“Letisha has battled Father Time before, but she will also have to tackle the nastiest monsters the Otherworld has to offer and save her own world before it’s too late.”

Krista, who has been writing for several years, said she is looking forward to bringing her work to life through engaging with a live audience in the cosy setting of the children’s library.

During the free storytelling session, signed copies of both books will be available to buy and visitors will also have the chance to chat with Krista about her work and upcoming school visits.
