A MAN has been jailed for burgling businesses in Stourport.
Tommy Taylor, of Broach Road, Stourport, was arrested and charged with three counts of burglary on Wednesday (March 14).
The charges related to burglaries at businesses on Sandy Lane, Nelson Road and Worcester Road between February 24 and 28.
The 26-year-old was remanded in custody and appeared before Kidderminster Magistrates' Court yesterday (Thursday, March 15) where he pleaded guilty to all three offences.
He was given a 12 month custodial sentence. Following the sentencing, Detective Sergeant Martin Brown, from West Mercia Police, said: "Burglary offences can impact greatly on local business owners and I'm pleased that we were able to secure a quick conviction.
“We will always work to bring those responsible before the courts."
