A BLOCK of flats in Kidderminster had to be evacuated in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, January 2) after a fuse box set on fire.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service’s Blue Watch crew from the town’s fire station were joined by a team from Bewdley to deal with the incident in Woodfield Crescent at 4.25am.
The fire crews located the blaze in the fuse box and helped to safely evacuate the residents from their flats.
West Midlands Ambulance paramedics were on hand to carry out precautionary checks on the residents for smoke inhalation.
Engineers from Western Power also attended to check on the electrics.
