A HALESOWEN resident has scooped the People’s Postcode Lottery’s daily prize after their address was drawn this morning (Wednesday, September 13).
The Tregarron Road player who entered the lottery with their lucky B63 2JS postcode has won the £1,000 jackpot.
Judie McCourt, People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, said: “I’m delighted for our Halesowen player for their win today. I hope they enjoy spending it.”
A minimum of 30 per cent of postcode lottery ticket sales goes directly to charities, with £229 million to date being donated to local causes.
In the past 12 months, Sandwell charity Care Link West Midlands was awarded £4,850 to run an inclusive community sports programme for refugee women and girls.
While Birmingham cause Martineau Gardens was awarded £10,080 to refurbish its pavilion building, which houses a volunteers’ room, kitchen and meeting room.
