A BANNER showing Upton as one of the best best places to live has been stolen.

The banner was placed at the Tunnel Hill junction on the A4104 with Longdon Road on B4211.

It was one of three purchased by Upton Business Association in conjunction with Taylor Wimpey after the town was named one of The Sunday Times 'best places to live 2017.'

The banner was reportedly stolen on Thursday.

Police in Malvern tweeted: "Upton SNT disappointingly reporting the theft of a banner promoting the town as The Sunday Times “Best Places to Live 2017.

"The banner was placed at TUNNELL HILL (sic) (A4104) junction with LONGDON ROAD (B4211) celebrating the Towns achievement.

"One of three purchased by the Upton Business Association in conjunction with Taylor Wimpey costing approx £100 #Why?"
