HISTORIC Haden Hill House Museum in Cradley Heath is set to open its doors to visitors after being closed since Christmas.

Alison Hyatt, visitor services officer, is looking forward to a summer season full of events and attractions.

He said: "Since Christmas we have been cleaning and tidying, planning and organising, redecorating and redisplaying ready for our new activities in 2017.

"With the Easter holidays upon us we have some lovely family activities for visitors young and old to enjoy throughout April."

The museum is free to enter and opens for the new season on Thursday, April 6 and will be open on Thursdays and Fridays 10am until 5pm and Saturdays and Sundays 2pm to 6pm.

There will be children’s Easter themed activities and craft fun on Wednesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 13 between 11am and 3pm.

On Monday, April 17 between noon and 4pm children's entertainer Mad Dom will be performing magic and balloon modelling madness and musical fun with Andy Casserley.

Younger visitors can also enjoy Easter egg rolling and Easter egg trails.

Between April 19 and 21 there will be creative craft activities, spring cleaning, quizzes and trails with a small charge for some activities.

Jane Hanney, museums manager, said: "We are really looking forward to opening to the general public again and to starting our 2017 programme of activities, we’ve got some great events lined up for the spring and summer and we look forward to sharing them with visitors."
