FUNDRAISING opticians raised a laugh – and hundreds of pounds – for Comic Relief with a special event in store.
The team at Specsavers, in Bridge Street, Evesham, dressed up in red and sold Red Nose Day comedy specs to raise more than £400 for the charity.
The team encouraged those who bought the specs to strike a pose with their glasses and post the picture on social media with the hashtag GiveUsAWave.
Amy Liau, store director, said: "We had a great Red Nose Day supporting Comic Relief and want to say a big thank you to everyone who made a donation or who purchased the specs."
Specsavers supported Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
The company pledged to raise at least £250,000 for the charity.
