POLICE were called to keep the peace between supporters at a city centre pub ahead of today's game between Salisbury and Hereford.
Four police cars with around eight police officers were called to The Five Bells in Salt Lane at around 2pm.
Inspector Simon Cowdrey said: "We were trying to keep the two sets of fans separate to keep the peace and prevent any disturbance, and allow everybody to watch the game this afternoon.
"We were here to keep an eye on it - quite a few were going to the game and we want to make sure the people of Salisbury can go on with their normal business without being affected by it."
Extra safety stewards and police are on duty in Salisbury.
