Glasbury Arts presents a weekend of workshops on Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5 in Glasbury Village Hall.

On Saturday, Juliet Parker-Smith will offer an introduction to free machine embroidery, an exciting and versatile medium through which it is possible to create wonderful effects of colour and texture.

Workshop participants will need to bring along their own machines, and although no previous embroidery experience is necessary, a basic understanding of how to operate the machine is desirable. Fabrics, embroidery threads and embroidery rings will be available.

The workshop runs from 10.30am to 4pm on Saturday, March 4 in Glasbury Village Hall. To book, call 0333 6663366 or visit glasburyarts.co.uk

On Sunday, March 5, Glasbury Village Hall hosts an Animation and Graphics Workshop for young people, aged eight to 13.

Participants are invited to jump into the magical world of stop-frame animation in a fun taster workshop, led by Nick Brown from MASH Cinema. Learn how to use professional animation equipment, write, storyboard and animate a short film, and finally create a soundtrack with sound effects – all in the same day. The finished films will be available to watch on YouTube at the end of the day.

The workshop runs from 10.30am to 4pm on Sunday, March 5 in Glasbury Village Hall. Ticket price, £13. To book, call 0333 6663366 or visit glasburyarts.co.uk
