FOLLOWING its winter break, the Museum of Carpet is opening its doors to the public for the first time in 2017.

The Museum will reopen to visitors on Tuesday, February 21, with a range of fun half term activities for families. It will then be open every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday for the rest of the year.

Elizabeth Broadway, museum manager, said: "We are really excited about the forthcoming year.

"Our new opening hours mean that every visitor will get the same great experience of demonstrations and we have got a fantastic programme of events lined up for 2017."

The first events as part of the Museum's half term activities will be 'On the Red Carpet'. Alongside fun craft activities, between February 21, and February 25, children will be able to 'walk the red carpet', taken from the same roll used for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding.

The Museum of Carpet will reopen on February 21, between 10am and 3pm. The new opening hours will be between 10am and 1.30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays - extended to 3pm during the Worcestershire county school holidays.
