POLICE are investigating reports of poachers operating in a remote part of Romsley last weekend.
The Bridgnorth Safer Neighbourhood Team were contacted by residents on January 14 and 15, after an unknown four by four vehicle was spotted being driven around the secluded area.
On Saturday, Police Community Support Officer Sue Eden visited the area, but the vehicle had already left the scene.
Two response officers visited the area the following night when the vehicle was reported to have returned, but officers were unable to find it.
West Mercia Police now have a possible registration number for the vehicle, and have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
A spokesman for the force said: "If you witnessed any activity which you believe may have be linked to this incident, or have any information that may identify the vehicle or driver, please call 101 and refer to our incident 0552s."
