A MAN was taken to hospital after suffering a fit whilst driving his car in Redditch. 

Just after 11am on Monday, July 25, emergency services were called to Woodrow Drive, outside the Alexandra Hospital after the man is believed to have suffered a fit at the wheel his silver Range Rover and lost control of the car. 

He is then believed to have driven onto the island. Three calls were made to West Midlands Ambulance Service, one was from the hospital who had caught the incident on CCTV.

He was treated by staff before being taken by ambulance to the Alexandra Hospital, a journey which took 47 seconds.

Two ambulances attended the scene. It took 21 minutes to get him from the car and into hospital.
