WORCESTER residents are waking up to a frosty morning today (Thursday) as temperatures fell to freezing overnight.
The Met Office is forecasting the cold weather to continue well into next week, with some sleet and snow predicted to fall across the West Midlands on Saturday.
Today's weather is set to be clear and sunny, becoming cloudier this afternoon. Overnight, temperatures will stay above freezing, dropping to around 4°C. And on Friday showers are forecast for mid-morning, followed by more cloud.
Sunday is currently forecast to see the coldest weather, with highs of just 5°C and lows of 1°C overnight into Monday.
The police are urging drivers to ensure their car windscreens are properly cleared of frost before setting off, and residents should take extra care on the road during cold weather.

The NHS is warning the public to prepare for the effects of cold weather conditions by taking extra care of elderly or vulnerable relatives and neighbours, and keeping wrapped up warm.
It is also advising people to get themselves immunised against flu, by having the flu jab.
