THE hate crime lead officer for Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police will be hosting a web chat for people to find out more about the offence.
Chief Superintendent Lee Davenport will be answering questions on hate crime and offering information on the subject.
He said: "We know that on a national level hate crimes are underreported and that there are many reasons for this. "This web chat and other events during hate crime week will give us the opportunity to engage with our communities and ensure that victims are comfortable to come forward in the confidence that they will be listened to and supported."
The event has been planned to coincide with National Hate Crime Week, which runs from Saturday, October 10 until Sunday, October 18.
The web chat will take place between 6pm and 8pm on Tuesday, October 13.
