A BROMSGROVE brewery is hoping to be crowned the best taste in Worcestershire, after being named as a finalist in the Visit Worcestershire awards for excellence.
Birds Brewery, which is based in the town, has been shortlisted for the award after being judged against a number of different criteria.
Judges sampled three different Birds beers, and looked at the company’s customer service, as well as the locally sourced ingredients and the way that it engages with the local community. They also conducted a telephone interview with managing director Chris Bird, ahead of the winner being announced on Thursday, October 15.
Mark Stephenson, head brewer at Bird’s Brewery, said: “It’s very exciting to have been shortlisted – we are passionate about producing great tasting beers. We brew our beers for the people of Worcestershire so it would be fantastic to win a Worcestershire award.”
