THIS was the picture taken by a Worcester News reader caught up in the delays caused by a six-vehicle crash on the M5 near Stroud this afternoon which left 16 people injured, two of them seriously.
It involved several cars and light goods vehicles and a tanker at junction 13 and 14, near Michaelwood services.
At least one casualty was taken to hospital by an air ambulance which landed on the motorway, while ambulances, police and fire crews were also on scene.
Traffic was diverting through Michaelwood services and via the A38.
The northbound side was also closed to allow for an air ambulance to attend, but then re-opened.
