Hereford Times: Hereford Times:

The first spectacular picture of last night's storms was sent to us by Dave Grubb and was taken from the camera on the top of St Andrew's Spire in Worcester, set up to watch the Peregrine Falcons that use it.

While you can see two bolts of lightning in the distance flashing to the ground, we assume the webs of light (how else do you describe them?) over the city are sheet lightning. Or do you know better?

We'd love to see any more storm pictures. Keep them coming.

Remarkably the picture of the torrential rain by Christopher Cole was taken at 1.15am - lighting provided by mother nature!

The two embedded lightning in the sky pictures are from Nick Lee, who says he took 100 shots and managed to get six good ones!

Other storm pictures in our gallery came from Dawn Scott and Neil Jay.

In the meantime Tomasz Janicki‎ has sent us an absolutely stunning picture of the sunset - truly the calm before the storm.

And there is a picture from Kirsten Reeves of this morning's sunrise after the storms cleared the air.

The video above was shot by Mark Stanton, and it shows a lightning bolt apparently hitting the roof of JVM Castings in Droitwich Road, Worcester.
