SEVENTY ambulance paramedic graduates have received their university honours at ceremonies in Worcester and Coventry.
This year has seen the largest ever West Midlands Ambulance Service recruitment campaign with more than 300 new frontline staff joining the service.
With an increase in demand, the trust has been working to increase its frontline staffing numbers. t
WMAS divisional manager, Jerry Penn-Ashman, said: “Everyone at these ceremonies has worked hard to get their degrees and it’s nice to have family and friends present to celebrate their achievement. This is also a wonderful opportunity for WMAS to celebrate the efforts of those involved in recruiting so many staff and enhance our delivery of patient care to the communities we serve.”
