BROMSGROVE'S KFC held a successful fun day raising hundreds of pounds for charity.

The restaurant opened in Charford Road a year ago, so has organised the party to mark the anniversary.

Visitors on the day took part in raffles, face painting and there was a special appearance from Bromsgrove firefighters who delivered important safety tips to local residents.

The local council also showed their support by joining in the festivities on the day.

All money raised from activities and donations from visitors goes to the World Food Programme, the world's largest humanitarian organisation addressing hunger and assisting the United Nations.

Lee Jones, team leader at the restaurant, said: “We are delighted to celebrate the one year anniversary of KFC being part of the local community and thank our loyal customers for stopping by.

"The UN World Food Programme is such a great cause so we’re really pleased that we can help contribute towards providing for less fortunate children around the world.”
