WELL Sunday is the big one - and no I'm not talking about a Super Sunday match on Sky, but Christmas of course.
But when that is over, another big occasion is in store for many people the following day.
Boxing Day is, for a lot of people, the time to get all of those bargain buys, from televisions to DVDs to the latest must-have handbag.
I am always amazed when I see photos of hundreds of people queuing outside shops at a ridiculously early time to get their hands on something because it's been reduced by 50 or even 70 per cent.
Some camp overnight and you even hear stories of people getting injured in the melee.
It's just stark raving mad!
I feel sorry for the retail workers who have to work late on Christmas Eve because they have to stay behind to get rid of all of the Christmas stuff then put out all of the sale items ready for Boxing Day.
I'm pretty sure that not everything will be gone on Boxing Day and will still be there days later, when you can buy it then - that's what I'll be doing.
If you ask me, December 26 should be spent getting over the stress of Christmas Day (not to mention the amount of food and drink that you'll be consuming) and either watching a football game or keeping tabs of the scores.
Hereford have an early kick-off against Port Vale and I'll be there willing on the Bulls.
Traditionally, attendances are signficantly boosted on Boxing Day, but the way Hereford are playing lately and the early kick-off, I doubt the gate at Edgar Street will go up all that much if I'm honest.
Then it will be all set for New Year's Eve and the start of the new year.
So in the meantime, Merry Christmas everyone and hope you all have a good one :-)
