BEING a life-time football supporter, I thought I had seen it all, but Wednesday night's shenanigans at Swansea shocked even me.

For anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about, Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard was sent off for kicking a ballboy during his side's Capital One Cup Semi-Final second leg match against Swansea.

The ballboy in question, 17-year-old Charlie Morgan, appeared to fall over and smother the ball under his body, apparently refusing to give it back to the Chelsea team.

Hazard then tried to retrieve it by kicking the ball, or Morgan, depending on which fence you're sitting.

Now, I am no Chelsea lover and have no affinity towards them whatsoever, but I do have sympathy for Hazard.

His team were 2-0 down on aggregate and were desperately trying to get back into the game in their attempt to reach the Capital One Cup Final.

So I can understand Hazard's frustration at Morgan as it was clear that he was time-wasting and trying to slow the game down by taking his time to give the ball back.

It's been reported that Morgan tweeted prior to the game that he was a super time-waster and the fact that he is the son of Swansea Director Martin Morgan only fuels the argument that his actions were premeditated.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp described Morgan as an idiot and that what he did was disgusting and I have to agree with him.

Hazard was silly to do what he did, but come on did he really kick him so hard that he was left rolling around and holding his ribs as if he had been badly beaten up?

Hazard has since been charged with violent conduct by the FA.

Morgan won't get punished because the game was his last as a ballboy anyway.

It says a lot a lot about football at the moment when you now see ballboys feigning injury, like some players do.

I hate seeing people dive and will never condone it, even if it leads to my team gaining an advantage.

But, sadly I can only see it getting worse.

Who do you think was in the wrong for what happened at the Liberty Stadium? Eden Hazard or Charlie Morgan?
