A couple are to appear at Crown Court accused of murdering their six children who died in a fire at their home.

Mick Philpott, 55, and his wife Mairead, 31, have been charged with the murders following the blaze at the house in Victory Road, Allenton, Derby, on May 11.

Jade Philpott, 10, and brothers John, nine, Jack, seven, Jessie, six, and Jayden, five, all died in the blaze.

A sixth sibling, Duwayne, 13, died of his injuries in Birmingham Children's Hospital two days later.

Mr and Mrs Philpott will appear from custody at Nottingham Crown Court.
