Swann said his agent was driving his Jaguar that was caught going 74mph in a 50mph zone at Pencraig

ENGLAND cricket star Graeme Swann has been fined after he failed to identify who was driving his Jaguar after it was caught speeding near Ross-on-Wye.

The spin bowler is reported to have told Kidderminster Magistrates Court that his agent was in the XFR at the time of the alleged offence in Pencraig on May 25 last year.

The car was clocked doing 74mph in a 50mph zone.

But the court rejected Swann's claims after they were told he failed to respond to any letters warning of court action after they were sent to his house in West Bridgford, Nottingham.

The court fined him £1,383 and imposed six driving points.
