A RECRUITMENT company that started in a shed near Ross-on-Wye is to start the new year in buoyant mood with a projected turnover of more than £9 million.
Intuition IT Solutions Ltd was set up by Nick Marshall in a farmyard in Hom Green six years ago but it has expanded so much that it is set to open a new office in Hong Kong.
The company focuses on establishing contract and permanent recruitment within a number of niche technical markets, such as the Oracle ERP/CRM suite of software packages, and is now of the world’s leading players.
Its success has resulted it being in the Sunday Times’ top 100 fast track companies and Nick believes that it can grow even more.
“We are opening a new office in Hong Kong next year and have got two Chinese speaking consultants to go over there,”
said Nick, who is 31 and went to the Bishop of Hereford’s Bluecoat School.
“We have already been doing stuff in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore, as well as Europe, north Africa and in the USA.
“While a lot obviously depends upon the length and depth of the recession that is on the horizon for 2012, our aims for the coming year are to consolidate our position within Europe, establish a physical presence in Asia and start looking west towards the North America market.”
Nick set up the company with Sacha Milojevic.
He said that the working situation when they started out in Herefordshire is nothing compared to their current base in London.
“It was like working in a broom cupboard with just two laptops, two telephones and a fax machine – quite different to where we are now,” said Nick, who now has 20 people working for him.
“We had a clear vision of what we wanted to do and do all the little things a bit better than the competition. We go above and beyond to help our clients and are more flexible.”
